Fukuoka City Overview
Fukuoka City is located in the northern part of Kyushu, facing the sea to the north and surrounded by mountains on three sides, and is surrounded by nature. The climate is relatively warm, with an average annual temperature of 17.8℃. In addition, the distance to major Japanese cities such as Tokyo and Osaka is almost the same as the distance to major cities in East Asia (Busan, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, etc.), and there are many regular international airline routes, so it has flourished as a gateway to continental culture since ancient times.
The population is about 1.56 million, and the city has been designated as a government ordinance-designated city and has been developed in its own way. The Tenjin district, which is the center of Fukuoka City, and the area around Hakata Station are the administrative, industrial, and transportation hubs of Kyushu. Although subways and public buses are available as transportation, it is convenient to travel by bicycle within the city. In addition, prices are cheaper than Tokyo and Osaka, and the city is particularly blessed in terms of food and housing. It has also been selected as one of the "Most Conveninet Citie in Asia".
